AUNÉ IS A FASHION-FOCUSED CONCEPT STORE IN THE MIDST OF LISBON’S ALCÂNTARA NEIGHBOURHOOD. FOCUSING ON HOW PAST AND CURRENT FASHION COLLECTIONS INTERACT WITH EACH OTHER, AUNÉ BRINgs THESE ITEMS IN DIALOGUE WITH EACH OTHER. IT DOES THIS BY STOCKING DISTINCTIVE, SECOND-HAND ARCHIVE PIECES ALONGSIDE A SELECTION OF KEY, SEASON-LESS PIECES FROM NEW AND EMERGING INTERNATIONAL BRANDS. THE UNDERLYING CONCEPT BEHIND THE NEW STORE IS TO PROMOTE A SLOWER AND MORE SUSTAINABLE APPROACH TO FASHION IN A CRISP, GLAMOROUS AND UNDERSTATED ENVIRONMENT.

AS WELL AS BRINGING TOGETHER EMERGING AND INDEPENDENT BRITISH AND PORTUGUESE DESIGNERS, AUNÉ ALSO PLACEs FASHION PIECES FROM THE PAST AND THE PRESENT SIDE BY SIDE. THE STORE DISPLAYs INDIVIDUAL ARCHIVE PIECES FROM SOME OF THE MOST SIGNIFICANT FASHION HOUSES OF THE 1980S AND 1990S. AUNÉ HOPES TO SHOW THAT STYLE IS IN CONVERSATION WITH WHAT HAS COME BEFORE.

AUNÉ’S DISTINCTIVE INTERIOR HAS BEEN DESIGNED BY THE INTERIOR designer, JERMAINE GALLACHER. GALLACHER SEAMLESSLY COMBINES OFFBEAT AND POSTMODERN ITEMS OF FURNITURE FROM THE 1980S, WHICH HAVE BEEN LOCALLY SOURCED IN ALCÂNTARA, ALONGSIDE MINIMALIST FIXTURES AND FITTINGS DESIGNED ESPECIALLY FOR THE STORE.

AUNÉ OFFERS A UNIQUE BROWSING EXPERIENCE: A GLAMOROUS PORTAL INTO AN ERA REVIVED BY AN AESTHETIC THAT IS UNMISTAKABLY CONTEMPORARY.
